Shawn worked at Rio Blanco Ranch for six years before entering the
Army in the early 80's. He was honorably discharged in 1985.
He then went on to manage the Ruby Ranch stables
and Western Adventures for four years while completing his Associates Degree
in Science during the winter months.
In 1989, Shawn began his first of twelve years
as manager of the Brush Creek Ranch near Dillion, CO in Summit County.

He is working toward developing Welder
Outfitting Services into a year round business offering snowmobiling in the
winter, and continuing to provide pack trips during the summer and fall
months.
Shawn has three energetic boys; Keegan and his younger twin
brothers Kolin and Kalin.

Brian left Rio Blanco Ranch in January
of 1984 and began pursuing his college education at Fort Lewis College in
Durango, CO. While in college, Brian worked full time as manager
of the Winterhawk Ranch, raising and training cutting horses. He
graduated in 1988 with a B.A. in Business Administration.
A year after graduating, Brian relocated back to
the White River and managed Welder Outfitting Services for the next 12
years.
In 1999, Brian returned to the Rio Blanco Ranch
to run the horse program and co-manage operations full time along with
Welder Outfitting Services in the fall.
Since 2004, he has devoted his packing and
guiding skills full time to Welder Ranch. Brian's wife, Carla,
provides some of our quality food service. Two Sons, Danny and Derek, are
living in the Denver area.
